Sports complex designed especially for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games, is located in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the facilities, the park has a capacity of 107,750 people.
It was built between 2012 and 2016 through separate bids, the main one being won by the Consortium Rio Mais, formed by the construction companies Odebrecht, Andrade Gutierrez and Carvalho Hosken. Among the solutions chosen throughout the work, there are several tampons, drainage systems and special caps of Fuminas.
