Located on the coast of São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE), the Port of Pecém is an offshore maritime terminal (from the English, far from the coast). The transit for imports and exports between Brazil, United States and Europe takes about 7 days through Pecém.
The port was inaugurated in 2002 and underwent a refurbishment in 2008. In response to demands for high-quality solutions of this kind, Fuminas supplied 4,000 pieces of high-traffic grids.
