Located in the downtown district of Rio de Janeiro, Plaza Mauá was inaugurated in the early twentieth century, whose center boasts a statue of the economist Barão de Mauá. It has an area of 25 thousand m² that also covers Orla Conde.
Between 2014 and 2015, the square was revitalized through the urban operation Porto Maravilha. The work included the implosion of a section of the High Perimeter, access by means of VLT (Light Rail Vehicle), among others, with Fuminas specific solutions (Brikslot channels, checkered grids, double-face covers and amusement buffers). < / p>
